State drill team champions crowned

Three more state champions were crowned Saturday night at Utah Valley University as the 1A, 2A and 3A schools competed in state drill team competitions.

Duchesne swept every category in 1A, while Uintah won every category in 3A.

In 3A military Uintah finished first, Logan was second, Cedar earned third, Union was fourth and Morgan finished in fifth place. In 3A dance, Uintah again won first, while Logan was second, Cedar finished in third, Ogden earned fourth and Delta was fifth.

In 3A dance, Uintah was first, Logan was second, Cedar City finished third, Ogden earned fourth and Delta was fifth place. The 3A championship went to Uintah, with Cedar earning second, Logan finishing third, Canyon View earning fourth and Bear River coming in fifth overall.

In 2A military, South Sevier earned first, while Millard was second, Manti earned third, Kanab was fourth and Juab finished fifth. In 2A dance, Millard took first, South Sevier was second, Richfield was third, Manti fourth and North Summit earned fifth place.

In 2A prop, Millard was first, South Sevier finished second, Manti third, Juab fourth and Richfield was fifth. In the overall championships, Millard earned the 2A title, while South Sevier was second, Manti third, Richfield fourth and Juab was fifth overall.

In 1A military competition, Duchesne was first, Piute second, Rich third, Tabiona fourth and Milford finished fifth. Duchesne won the 1A Dance competition as well, while Piute was second, Tabiona finished third, St. Joseph was fourth and Milford earned fifth.

In 1A prop, Duchesne was first, Piute second, Tabiona third, Rich was fourth and Milford finished fifth. That meant Duchesne earned the first place overall, while Piute was second, Tabiona finished third, Rich earned fourth and Milford took fifth overall.
