You can't tell the Senate without a program. Meet the new senator from New York, Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand, who apparently had more name recognition than Caroline Kennedy.
Kirsten Gillibrand. Sounds like the lead soprano in a Wagnerian opera. "And now, in the role of Brunhilde, Ms. Kirsten Gillibrand."
Gillibrand will be seated next to the Blagojevich-crowned Roland Burris. Together they will constitute the asterisk caucus in the Senate.
She has an interesting voting record: for same-sex marriage and against gun control. Her congressional district obviously has a lot of gay hunters.
