FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Kellen McCoy scored four of his 12 points on free throws in the final minute as Weber State beat Northern Arizona 59-54 Saturday night.

The Wildcats (12-8, 6-1 Big Sky) made 24 of 31 free throws in the game, including 9-of-10 down the stretch, to improve their conference road record to 4-0.

"This game wasn't for the faint of heart," said WSU coach Randy Rahe. "Every possession was precious. I thought our defense in the second half picked up. Daviin Davis did a nice job of controlling Cameron Jones and didn't allow him to get many open looks."

Northern Arizona (5-14, 2-6) committed 18 turnovers, and Weber State scored 22 points off those mistakes.

McCoy's free throws with 26.7 seconds remaining gave his team a 56-51 lead.

Josh Wilson's 3-pointer cut the Lumberjacks' deficit to two, but McCoy was fouled with 9.4 seconds left and made both foul shots to seal the victory.

Damian Lillard and Nick Hansen had 11 points apiece for the Wildcats.

Cameron Jones led Northern Arizona with 21 points and Wilson had 12.

SO. MISS 68, MONTANA STATE 60: At Hattiesburg, Miss., Craig Craft scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Southern Miss.

PORTLAND STATE 83, E. WASHINGTON 61: At Portland, Ore., Phil Nelson scored 17 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead Portland State.

SACRAMENTO STATE 72, IDAHO STATE 69: At Sacramento, Calif., Junior Justin Eller's 12 points and 12 rebounds helped Sacramento State end a 14-game losing streak.
