I was impressed by the article on the University of Utah offering a fellowship in Mormon studies. I was also impressed by director Robert Goldberg for spearheading this movement, the Eccles family foundation for funding it and by university President Michael Young.
The first University of Utah — back in 1849 — was started in my great-great-grandfather John Pack's home in Salt Lake City. The home is located on the southeast corner of West Temple and 100 North. A huge plaque is there now.
