Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller has had both of his legs amputated six inches below the knee.

Jazz spokesman Jonathan Rinehart says Friday's surgery was the result of complications from type 2 diabetes. Rinehart says Miller, 64, is recovering in a hospital.

Greg Miller, Larry Miller's son, said in a statement that his father is doing well. Rinehart says Miller was already using a wheelchair before to the surgery.
