PROVO A man who police said threatened to kill his father, then his entire family, was arrested Jan. 10.
The man, 31, who lives with his parents in Provo, became angry and punched a hole in the wall of his parents' home, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
The man began threatening to kill his father if they were left alone together, according to the affidavit. He said he didn't care if he went to prison for life if it was for killing his father.
Concerned family members called 911 and told police about the threats to the father as well as text messages to a brother, with the man saying he was going to hurt the whole family, according to the affidavit.
Police arrived and arrested the man for investigation of criminal mischief and terroristic threats.
Police said he was compliant at first but became aggressive with officers as they were leaving the home.
A judge set bail at $50,000 cash only.
