Man stabbed multiple times at S.L. hotel

Charges were filed Wednesday against a man who police said stabbed another man in the neck and arms at a Salt Lake City hotel.

According to court documents, the man, 23, entered a room Sunday at the Inn Towne Suites, 48 W. 3300 South, where the other man was visiting a friend who was a hotel guest. When the man entered the room, he told the other man to leave, but that man was concerned for the safety of the two women and three children in the room so he refused to go. The man who had just entered the room then grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the other man in the neck and arms. He was arrested shortly thereafter.

The man was charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.
