Snow College learned Monday it will be without sophomore forward Rory Patterson for at least six weeks after the ex-Logan High star suffered a torn MCL during Saturday's 80-59 loss to SLCC in the team's conference opener.
Patterson injured his knee late in the first half against the Bruins and had to be helped to the locker room. He spent the entire second half on crutches with his knee heavily wrapped. The torn ligament was discovered when Patterson's knee was examined on Monday.
Following a strong freshman year with Snow, Patterson was named to the NJCAA Preseason All-American second team for the 2008-09 season. Through 16 games this year, he has averaged 11.3 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Badgers.
