The state must be dreaming — or have no regard for human life — to increase the speed limit in certain parts of the state to 80 miles per hour. We are in an energy crunch, and slower speeds save fuel. Our highway accidents and deaths continue to rise, and speed is one of the key factors. Driving 75 mph is even too fast. Let's think of the safety of the drivers for their own sake.
