CHICAGO (AP) — Gov. Rod Blagojevich was out jogging in Chicago as lawmakers in Springfield voted to impeach him.

As lawmakers debated before the 114-1 vote Friday, the Democratic governor emerged from his home on the city's North Side in a black jogging suit. He berated members of the media for bothering his neighbors and refused to respond to questions before running off down the street.

The vote by the Illinois House sets up a trial in the Senate. If convicted there, he would be removed from office.

Blagojevich, 52, was arrested Dec. 9 on charges of scheming to sell off President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat. He has denied any wrongdoing.
