Grizzlies rally for win with 4 straight goals

WEST VALLEY CITY —The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Reading Royals 5-4 Tuesday night at the E Center. Utah battled back from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits before scoring four straight goals.

Ryan Kinasewich scored the Grizzlies' first two goals and assisted Rob Hennigar's game-winning goal with 6:50 left in regulation.

The game was tied 3-3 entering the third before Scott Thauwald's first goal as a Utah player and fifth of the year gave the Grizzlies their first lead of the night 1:52 into the third period.

Nine Utah skaters scored in the contest with Kinasewich (two goals, one assist), Evan Kotsopoulos (one goal, one assist), Mike Walsh (two assists) and Rob Hennigar all adding multiple-point games for the Grizzlies.

Goaltender Robert Gherson improved to 2-0 in the game stopping 30 of 34 shots.

Utah and Reading rematch again Wednesday, with the Grizzlies hosting Las

Vegas Friday and Saturday at the E-Center. All Utah home games start at 7:05 p.m.
