TUNED OUT: Unless some last-minute successful negotiating takes place today, Jazz fans who subscribe to DirecTV won't be able to watch Utah play New Orleans tonight on KJZZ-TV. This will be the first of 12 games scheduled to air on KJZZ the rest of the regular season that will not be available on the satellite system, which stopped broadcasting the station on Jan. 1 because a transmission agreement has not yet been agreed upon. KJZZ is owned by the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, which also owns the Jazz.

ON THE MOVE: Former Jazz point guard Dee Brown was waived by the Phoenix Suns and ex-Jazz camper James Lang was signed by the Utah Flash.

FAMILIAR FACES: Fesenko might not recognize them, but several other people with Jazz ties are participating in the D-League's Showcase, which runs through Thursday night at the McKay Events Center.

Four former Jazz players are with D-League teams: Guard Keith McLeod plays for Albuquerque; Scott Roth (Bakersfield) and Jay Humphries (Reno) are head coaches; and Randy Livingston (Idaho) is an assistant coach.
