TOP SCORERS: Wyoming's utility guard Brandon Ewing (19.1 ppg) leads, followed by a pair of Cougars, Lee Cummard (18.3) and Jonathan Tavernari (18.2).

TOP REBOUNDERS: No surprise, Ute 7-2 Luke Nevill (8.6 rpg) leads the league, followed by Wyoming's Tyson Johnson (8.3) and UNLV's Rene Rougeau (7.9).

ACCURATE SHOOTERS: Cougar junior Chris Miles (.683), followed by Neville (.620). As far as team shooting goes, BYU ranks first (.509) and the Utes second (.483).

BEST OFFENSE/DEFENSE: SDSU is giving up a stingy 55.1 ppg.; Wyoming and BYU are first and second in scoring offense, just over 81 a game. The Cougar's margin of victory (17 ppg) leads the league.

BEST FREE THROWS: Utah is the most accurate (.771), followed by Wyoming (.735).

TEAM STATS: Only a trend this early but in 19 statistical MWC categories BYU is first in six, Utah and Wyoming lead in three and UNLV ranks No. 1 in just one (turnover margin).

KEN POMEROY RATINGS: BYU is No. 15, followed by SDSU (34th), Utah (46th), Utah State (48th), UNLV (64th) and New Mexico (67th). (Kenpom.com).

JEFF SAGARIN'S RPI INDEX: No. 16 BYU, then Utah State (40th), Utah (50), UNLV (53), SDSU (58) and UNM (80).

REALTIMERPI.COM: Utah's RPI is 28, followed by BYU (38), UNLV (53), SDSU (64), Utah State (67), and New Mexico (101). Of note, UCLA's RealtimeRPI is 50.
