Regarding your article on the winter of 1948-49: I was driving a Continental Trailways bus from Salt Lake City to Price then. Many a day was spent waiting for snow removal before we could get over Soldier Summit. The Rio Grande Railroad also installed snowplows on their helper locomotives to keep the tracks clear. Rotary plows were used to keep the roads passable. Snow was banked 10 feet high on each side of the road.
There are lots of memories for us older folks.
