Utah Jazz not seeking roster moves

Even with the Jazz's top three big men out, Utah general manager Kevin O'Connor said the team isn't going to rush to make a trade or cut a player to get another large body on the roster.

Utah was especially thin in the middle Friday, with Carlos Boozer (strained left quad/bruised kneecap), Mehmet Okur (lower-back spasms) and Paul Millsap (sprained left PCL) all unable to play due to injuries.

But the Jazz have zero wiggle room for adding additional players because all 15 guys on their current loaded-to-the-max roster are under contract.

"I think what we do is stay the course a little bit until we get Memo back, get Paul back, see what happens with Carlos and go from there," O'Connor said.

"Yeah, we'd look to improve the team if we can," he added. "But I think right now it's a matter of trying to get everybody healthy. I don't think anybody's out long term."

If it's determined a player is out for the season or for 2-3 months, O'Connor said the Jazz will then "look at it differently."

"You can look at that," O'Connor said of trades and roster moves, " ... (but) it's difficult to bring them in and say, 'OK, learn our offense in a day and a half or accept our defensive principles.'"
