High school baseball: Maple Mountain hires baseball coach

Maple Mountain High School has announced the hiring of Gary Miner as the new school's new baseball coach.

Miner, who prepped at nearby Springville High before starring at BYU, is currently an assistant football coach and the head baseball coach at Orem High. The Golden Eagles begin competing in 4A next season in a realigned Region 8. The school has yet to announce its choice as football coach.
