BOSTON David Krejci and Shawn Thornton scored third-period goals to lift the Boston Bruins to their 13th straight home victory, a 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.

Manny Fernandez made 32 saves and improved to 10-1-1 in his last 12 starts. The victory was tainted by the loss of forward Patrice Bergeron, who was helped off the ice after a collision. The injury appeared to be to Bergeron's head or neck.

THRASHERS 4, LIGHTNING 3: At Atlanta, Kari Lehtonen gave up goals on the first two shots he faced in his first game in seven weeks, but didn't let another puck get past him until late in Atlanta's win over Tampa Bay.
Lehtonen, out since Oct. 30 due to a back injury, made 36 saves including 31 straight. His return helped lift Atlanta to its fourth win in 16 games. Slava Kozlov, Eric Perrin, Todd White and Joey Crabb scored for the Thrashers, who ended a seven-game losing streak at home.
