Newly hired Utah State football coach Gary Andersen is rounding out his coaching staff with the additions of two offensive assistants — one with extensive experience both as a coordinator in the Big Ten and Mountain West and as a head coach in the WAC.

Dave Baldwin, who last served as Rocky Long's offensive coordinator at New Mexico, will join Andersen with the Aggies as will former Utah graduate assistant Ilaisa Tuiaki, who will be USU's running backs coach.

"Dave has been a Division I offensive coordinator for eight years and has 11 years of head coaching experience. He always finds a way to get the best out of his offensive personnel. Coaching against him for the last two years, while I was defensive coordinator at Utah was a major task," Andersen said. "His running of the spread offense is one of the best in the country. Dave's extensive coaching background, especially his head coaching experiences, will be a tremendous asset to me as a head coach."

Baldwin spent two seasons with the Lobos and was previously the offensive coordinator at Michigan State and was the head coach at San Jose State from 1997-2000, where he had a combined record of 18-27.

Tuiaki comes to Utah State after a year with the Utes. He played running back for Andersen at Southern Utah after transferring from Snow College.

The Provo native worked with Utah's linebackers under Andersen's eye last season and will take over a talented group of young rushers at Utah State.
