I took Randy Bott's mission prep class last semester and was confused and alarmed by his statements about sister missionaries (they need to "get over their PMS" was one). He also asserts in his classes that there is a big problem with sister missionaries who get back from missions, get married, then assume they have the same authority over their husbands or are on a higher level than them. As a result, the husbands don't progress in the priesthood because they are always "junior companions." It was unnerving to me to hear such nonsense that is completely contrary to the statements by the church. And it is unnerving that so many BYU students probably would never even question his statements but simply take them at face value as doctrine.
