Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker attempts to ride his bike from Provo to Salt Lake City during a snowstorm on Saturday. Becker and Provo Mayor Lewis Billings took the ride as a result of a bet on the Utah/BYU football game. The U. beat BYU, 48-24, so Billings was supposed to deliver a food donation to the Utah Food Bank for losing the bet. The snowstorm prevented the mayors from completing the ride. The "rivalry ride" was part of an effort to collect food donations for Wasatch Front food pantries. Billings asked Provo residents to donate to Community Action Services and Food Bank, which serves Utah, Summit and Wasatch counties, or to any food drives at work or in neighborhoods. Becker and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon asked Salt Lake County residents to do the same for the Utah Food Bank.
