Virginia man guilty of killing missionary
The jury's verdict Friday came on the third day of deliberations in the trial of 22-year-old James Boughton Jr. Sentencing is set for Monday in Chesapeake. Boughton faces up to life in prison.
Boughton was convicted of first-degree murder in the January 2006 slaying of Morgan W. Young of Bountiful. Boughton also was convicted in the shooting of Joshua Heidbrink of Greeley, Colo. Heidbrink recovered and testified at Boughton's trial.
The missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were shot while knocking on doors in the southeast Virginia city.
