Larkin and Willis were named to the first team, and Carter to the second. The award was the fourth for Larkin, and the second for Willis and Carter.
Larkin lead the team with 11 goals, 23 points and 66 shots. She powered an offense that out-scored opponents 41-18, including 16-1 at home and 15-1 during MWC play. Willis and Carter were stalwarts in a defense that allowed only one goal in conference play, and helped the Cougars to 15 shutout victories in 2008. The defense only allowed one goal at home and one goal in conference play.
This is the ninth time at least three Cougars have been named to the All-West Regional teams. Larkin has been named an All-American for the third-straight year, and is the third Cougar to be named All- Region all four years at BYU, the other two being Aleisha Rose and Shauna Rohbock.
