PLEASANT VIEW, Weber County A 66-year-old North Ogden man was struck and killed by a car Tuesday evening, police said.
Pleasant View Police Sgt. Brett Hadley said the man, whose name was not released pending notification of family, was crossing 2700 North near 300 West around 6 p.m. when a small car struck him. The man was rushed to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden where he was pronounced dead.
The man was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, and the woman driving the car told police she didn't see him, Hadley said. Investigators don't believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. No citations have been issued, and the investigation is ongoing, he said.
