OREM A late night movie turned into trouble for four Utah County teenagers over the weekend.
Provo police arrested two 18-year-old men one for investigation of forcible sexual abuse, the other for investigation of unlawful sexual activity with a minor in an incident that occurred early Sunday in Elk Ridge, according to a 4th District Court probable cause affidavit.
The two men invited two girls, ages 13 and 14, to an Elk Ridge home to watch a movie. The 14-year-old victim told police that while she and one of the men were kissing, he attempted to fondle her. When the girl refused, the 6-foot, 195-pound Springville man persisted and put all of his weight top of the girl and held her down and tried to sexually assault her, court documents state.
When the girl screamed, the man put his hand over her mouth, threatening her. Once again the man made at least three attempts to assault her, according to the affidavit.
The 13-year-old victim told police that she witnessed the man on top of the struggling 14-year-old girl and tried to convince the man to stop. The older girl received a bite mark and other injuries from the man, according to the affidavit.
The second man, from Payson, told police he attempted to fondle the 13-year-old girl, but she slapped his hand each time he tried. While the man told police he did not rape the girl, he did say that he exposed himself to the girl and that he had been drinking whiskey earlier in the evening, court documents state.
Both men were ordered to have no contact with the victims and no unsupervised contact with any females under the age of 18.
