CENTERVILLE Police are looking for a man who unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Wal-Mart pharmacy here.
Police said a man in his early 20s walked into the Wal-Mart at 221 W. Parrish Lane at 10:10 a.m. Sunday and waited near the pharmacy window for about 15 minutes before approaching.
"The pharmacist asked the individual if he needed help and he replied by asking for a bottle of OxyContin," police said in a statement Monday. "The pharmacist informed the individual that he would need a prescription to obtain OxyContin. The individual replied by saying, 'No I don't, this is a robbery."'
The pharmacist walked to the other side of the pharmacy and called 911 on her cell phone. The man fled, without any drugs.
