1. Provo (3-0) Class: 4A

Was: 2. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: For the second straight year the Bulldogs beat Lone Peak, and this year there were no injuries putting an asterisk on the win. Next up: vs. Pleasant Grove, today.

2. West Jordan (3-0) Class: 5A

Was: 3. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Going on the road and winning at Pleasant Grove last week was a very impressive victory for the Jaguars. Next up: at Syracuse, today.

3. Bingham (2-0) Class: 5A

Was: 4. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: After beating two of 4A's best teams last week, the Miners step up in the coming weeks against some of 5A's better teams. Next up: at Timpanogos, today.

4. Lone Peak (2-1) Class: 5A

Was: 1. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: For the first time in a very long time, the Knights no longer sit atop the Deseret News Top 20 rankings. Next up: at Viewmont, today.

5. Pleasant Grove (2-1) Class: 5A

Was: 5. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: The Vikings are preparing for a huge showdown tonight against No. 1 Provo. Next up: at Provo, today.

6. Lehi (2-1) Class: 5A

Was: 11. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: With wins over Mountain View and Timpview, and a narrow loss to Provo, the Pioneers have established themselves as a real contender this year. Next up: vs. Springville, today.

7. Orem (3-0) Class: 4A

Was: 16. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: The Tigers are off to a very impressive start under their new coach. Next up: vs. Logan, Saturday.

8. Skyline (3-0) Class: 5A

Was: 8. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: The Eagles' defense has been so impressive, they're off to a 3-0 start this year despite not scoring more than 49 points this year. Next up: at Cottonwood, today.

9. Riverton (3-0) Class: 5A

Was: 14. Last week 2-0. Outlook: The 'Wolves are off to a solid start, but their first real test is next week against visiting Pleasant Grove. Next up: at Brighton, today.
