Stage auditions

"Phantom," Saturday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m.-noon, by appointment only, Hale Centre Theatre, 3333 S. Decker Lake Drive.

All roles are open and will be double cast. Please come prepared with 20-24 bars of a song that shows the singer's range, in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. No taped music or minus tracks. Actors should also bring a current headshot and resume. Character descriptions and audition packets are available at www.halecentretheatre.org.

Show dates are Feb. 24-April 18, 2009. Directed by John Sweeney. Call 801-984-9000 for an audition appointment.

"The Secret Garden," Saturday, Dec. 13, 1-5 p.m., Auditorium Theatre, Southern Utah University, 351 W. Center, Cedar City.

The Utah Shakespearean Festival is looking for talented young actors to play principal roles in the 2009 production. The festival seeks two girls and two boys who are 10 or can play age 10.

Mandatory registration will be held from noon-2 p.m. Actors must bring a professional headshot, complete audition form, resume and prepare a reading side and a music side. An accompanist will be provided. Auditions forms and audition sides as well as character breakdowns are available at www.bard.org.

Additional auditions in Salt Lake City will be held in January.

If hired, children must be available from May 13- Sept. 5 for the entire rehearsal process and summer season. The child must live in Cedar City for the duration of the contract with one parent or guardian. Housing will be provided.
