U.S. Bank hosting job fair to fill positions in Smith's stores

U.S. Bank is hosting a job fair Dec. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spring Hill Marriott, 625 S. 300 West, for 80 new positions inside Smith's Food & Drug Stores in February 2009, the bank said Thursday.

Informal interviews will occur at the job fair. People who cannot make the event can apply for a job online at www.usbank.com/careers.

In September, U.S. Bank announced it entered into a definitive agreement with Zions Bank to assume the leases of 47 full-service in-store banking locations that Zions was operating inside Smith's. U.S. Bank will add 21 new Smith's branches in Utah and 28 in Nevada, making the bank the largest full-service in-store branch-banking network in the United States with more than 600 in-store branches in 19 states.

Currently, U.S. Bank has 45 branches in Utah.
