PROVO The Mountain Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a baby sitter's training class at 865 N. Freedom Blvd. on Saturday.
This course teaches 11- to 15-year-olds the basic skills required as baby sitters. Students completing this eight-hour course will receive a baby sitter's first-aid kit, a student manual, a resource CD and a pocket emergency manual. Those items, along with lunch, are all offered for $50 per student. Topics covered in the class will include: basic first aid, child care, feeding, dressing, early childhood development, injury prevention and much more.
