Police say a man who was found dead Sunday morning along I-80 near 2400 South and 800 West may have jumped or been pushed from a spaghetti bowl overpass.
Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Steve Winward said investigators are trying to determine what happened to the man whose body was spotted by a passing motorist shortly after 8 a.m. A medical examiner took the man's fingerprints but was unable to identify him using the police database.
Winward is asking the public to assist in identifying the man. He is described as a white male in his 30s. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 215 pounds with brown hair and eyes. The man was wearing a blue hat with white embroidery that said "Ocean Kayak" on the front and "Paddle to the People" on the back.
If anyone has additional information concerning the man's identity, UHP is asking they contact dispatch at 801-887-3800.
