MormonTimes.com: Requests for help pose challenge for churches

The Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise reports that as the economic crisis deepens, California's Inland religious institutions are getting more requests for help, even as some of their own congregants face job losses and foreclosures.

At the Riverside stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which comprises 10 Mormon congregations, slightly fewer people are donating this year than previously, said stake President Dennis Ulicny.
