The Deuel log cabin has changed locations five times since brothers Osmyn M. and William H. Deuel and their families likely purchased the log home upon their arrival in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, according to a 1985 LDS Church News article. Originally built in the area that is now Pioneer Park, the home was situated on the southeast corner of Temple Square from 1918-76.
