Weber State football: Wildcats have point to make

The two teams have some familiarity with each other, as they played in both the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Cal Poly won 17-0 in Ogden in 2006. Last year, the Mustangs built a 37-point lead before winning 47-19. Star receiver Ramses Barden torched Weber State for 219 yards in the Mustangs' victory.

Times have changed for the Wildcats since then. Higgins watched last year's game from the sideline, as he had yet to become the team's starting quarterback. The Wildcats have an identity now, as well as plenty of confidence heading into tonight's playoff game.

"Everyone is going to come out fired up and ready to go," receiver Tim Toone said. "You have to have a swagger when you go in and play (on the road). We're going in expecting to win and so we're going to play like that."
