OREM A man driving the wrong way on I-15 has died after a multicar crash.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened about 11 p.m. Thursday when a BMW entered I-15 from University Parkway going northbound on southbound lanes.
"He collided with a Saturn in a quasi head-on collision," UHP trooper Cameron Roden said Friday. "It spun the BMW sideways, then it got T-boned by a minivan."
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Justin Ray Robinson of American Fork, died early Friday at Provo's Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Two women in the Saturn were treated for minor injuries. One person in the mini-van was also treated for minor injuries, Roden said.
I-15 was shut down for some time while the accident was investigated and cleaned up. The UHP said it suspects alcohol was a factor in the crash. The driver of the minivan was cited for DUI, Roden said.
