Recibid al Rey or Receive the King will be this years Latino Christmas program in the Tabernacle on Temple Square on Dec. 5 and 6.
The celebration includes music, dance, narration, the Latin American Christmas tradition known as Las Posadas and a special Christmas message from a general authority from the LDS Church.
Recibid al Rey is in Spanish, with translation available in English and Portuguese. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Dec. 5, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 6.
The event is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available online at www.lds.org/events, by calling the Conference Center ticket office at 801-570-0080 or toll-free at 866-537-8457 or at the Conference Center ticket office at door 4. The ticket office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Limit six tickets per person.
Christmas dance performance is Dec. 6
The Christmas season at the Church History Museum will start on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. with A Pioneer Christmas: A Time for Dancing by the Pioneer Heritage Company in conjunction with The Blue Sage Band.

Other free events include Christmas: A Time for Families about pioneer Christmas celebrations on Dec. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. Activities through December include Christmas creche scavenger hunt, pioneer period parlor games, living nativity role playing, storytelling, and handmade decorations and Christmas gifts. Museum docents will also offer specialized holiday tours about Polish wood carvings and favorite Christmas memories of the presidents of the LDS Church.

Humanitarian work topic of lecture
PROVO A Global Awareness Lecture titled Please Dont Tell this Story: LDS Humanitarian Work and the Media will be presented by Sharon Eubank, director of the Humanitarian Wheelchair Program for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The lecture is Wednesday at noon in the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies conference room, 238 Herald R. Clark Building.
