FORT DUCHESNE One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash Tuesday night.
The Utah Highway Patrol said Heather Craft, 21, of Gusher, was making a left turn from U.S. 40 into a gas station at about 6 p.m. when she ran head-on into pickup truck traveling at highway speeds. Craft died at the scene. Craft's father, Charles R. Craft, was a passenger in the car. The 45-year-old was seriously injured and was flown to Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He was listed in critical condition Wednesday.
The driver of the pickup truck, 24-year-old William Beseler of Vernal, was taken to Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt with a sprained wrist.
UHP noted that neither the Crafts nor Beseler were wearing seat belts.
