Plus, "when you read in the liner notes that it was recorded in the 'Walk-in Closet,' that's not a catchy name for a recording studio," says Bearden. "That was the walk-in closet in our home in Riverton."

Thanks goodness, they say, they don't use tubas. In fact, they don't use any instruments at all. All the sounds you hear are made by the human voice, which does make recording in a closet marginally easier.

The CD includes favorite children's songs such as "Rubber Ducky," "Popcorn Popping," "ABC" and "When I See An Elephant Fly." There are a couple of original songs, "Song With No Words," written by Bearden, and "The Sleepy," written by Mike and Jill Bearden.

"Our intended audience is kids," says Huff. "But we've learned that kids like the music we like. These are parentsy songs that will appeal to kids but adults will like, too."

Yeah, he says, some of them are a little "ear-wormy — but in a good way. They can stick in your head, but you want to listen to them again." These are not those irritating songs that drive parents crazy, they say.

Adds Bearden, "It's also a great CD for bedtime. We wind the kids up, let them use a lot of energy playing along, and then we wind them down with some slow songs." All that expertise as parents pays off.

And the Voice Male guys are still having fun. "That's why we keep coming back," says Bearden. "That's why we keep doing whatever crazy things come to mind."

"We still enjoy being together. We still love to entertain," adds Huff. "We love having good, clean fun."

They sometimes feel a bit like the National Guard, they joke. "We get together a few times, do one or two shows a month, then in December we do our tour of duty. This year, we'll be doing 13 concerts in two weeks." They perform at Abravanel Hall, Weber State University, Logan, Vernal, Roosevelt, Phoenix and other places.

For more information about these concerts, you can visit their new-and-improved website, www.voicemalemusic.com. "We'd like to thank Bodie Brower for all his help with that," says Huff.

In fact, he says, they'd like to thank everyone who has helped them along the way.

"Sometimes, we look at each other and say, 'What are we doing?' We're performing for a sold-out audience at Abravanel Hall," jokes Huff. Sometimes it's hard to grasp the reality, he says. "But we're not on this road by ourselves. We've been blessed and guided all along the way. This just seems like something we're supposed to be doing. Every time we run into a problem or a road block that seems too big, something happens that moves us forward."
