• "Superstars of Dance" is (you guessed it!) a dance-competition show. Its two-hour debut is Sunday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m.; hourlong episodes begin airing Mondays at 7 p.m. a day later.

• "Momma's Boys" (Mondays at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 5) is a "Bachelor" rip-off of sorts. A mother helps her grown sons pick partners from a bevy of beauties. Ryan Seacrest is an executive producer.

(Both "Dance" and "Boys" are short-run series. "Chuck" and "Heroes" will return in February.)

• "Howie Do It," an unscripted comedy show starring Howie Mandel, debuts Friday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m.

• Another season of "The Biggest Loser" — this one featuring couples — begins Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m.

• Repeats of "Law & Order: SVU" will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 7. ("Life" returns in February.)

• Repeats of "Law & Order" (8 p.m.) and "Law & Order: SVU" (9 p.m.) will air Saturdays beginning Jan. 10.
