SARATOGA SPRINGS Discussion about the new downtown area continues Tuesday night as the City Council considers a concept plan for the proposed Wal-Mart shopping center and a rezone to allow office-warehouse buildings.
The Wal-Mart plat is for four retail lots, city recorder Lori Yates said, including a Chase Bank building. Wal-Mart is completing construction and should open in the spring, Yates said. When the Wal-Mart plat was approved the lots for other retail in the plan were not yet designed, she said.
The rezone and concept plan approval public hearing is for the North Saratoga Center, 100 E. 2175 North. Developer is Cadence Capital.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the city offices, 1307 N. Commerce Drive, Suite 200.
