WEST VALLEY CITY The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 1-0 Friday night at the E-Center. Goaltender Mike Mole stopped 34 of 35 in a losing effort for Utah.
Jason Dest scored the only goal of the game for Las Vegas with 5:18 left in the first period, firing a puck from the high-slot even-strength.
The two teams combined to go 0-18 on the power-play with Utah going 0-12.
The same two teams meet again Saturday as the Grizzlies continue their five-game home stand. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
