PLAYER OF THE GAME

Talented QB racks up 271 yards through the air and 80 yards on the ground for the T-Birds.

PLAY OF THE GAME

Down by seven points midway through the third quarter, star lineman Xavier Su'A Filo blocks a Cottonwood punt to get the T-Birds back in the game. Timpview rattles off touchdowns on consecutive possessions after that and hangs on down the stretch.

KEY CALL

After getting torched by Cottonwood's passing attack in the second quarter, Timpview tweaks its coverages in the second half, and that move proves to be crucial as the T-Birds largely contain Cottonwood QB Steve Romero after halftime.

QUOTABLE

We know we have a lot to live up to ... I feel relieved. Before, there was a little bit of tension, but now we can go celebrate.
