Woman allegedly impregnated by teen arrested
Orem police recently received a call from a physician who had performed a pregnancy exam on a woman who told him the father was a 15-year-old boy, according to an affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
The woman, whose estranged husband is serving in Iraq, didn't have a place to stay and was invited to stay with family friends and their son, the affidavit states.
One night, the boy heard the woman crying and went to talk with her. Police say the woman asked if he would hold her, and the two began to kiss. Several nights later they met again and eventually had sex in the woman's room, where her 4-year-old son was sleeping, according to the affidavit.
Feeling guilty, the woman said she moved out of the house and later confessed to the parents about her interactions with their son and announced she was 16 weeks pregnant with his child, police say.
Officers asked her about the time frame, considering that September would be eight to nine weeks ago, not 16, but the woman couldn't explain the difference, according to the affidavit.
