WASATCH COMMENT SOUGHT
The Division of Utah State Parks and Recreation is developing a resource management plan for Wasatch Mountain State Park. The management plan will identify issues relating to public use, resource management and future development at the park and will make recommendations to guide park managers for the next 10 years.
The next Wasatch Mountain State Park planning meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Soldier Hollow Day Lodge (across parking lot from the Soldier Hollow Golf Course Clubhouse), 1370 West Soldier Hollow Lane, Midway.
It is important for users of the park and other concerned citizens to assist in the development of the plan. To help accomplish this, Utah State Parks hosts the last of two meetings to introduce the planning process and to obtain public input into the future management of the park.
At this meeting, state park planners will give a presentation on the planning process and will lead those attending in an exercise to identify and prioritize issues relating to the park.
Members of the community, park visitors and other interested parties are encouraged to attend. For additional information, contact state parks planner Rock Smith at 801-538-7207.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, anyone needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) should contact Wendy Griffith at 801-538-7362 by today.
