VOLLEYBALL: University of Utah volleyball coach Beth Launiere announced the signing of outside hitter Brooke McAlister from Pleasant Grove and setter McKenzie Odale from Boise. Both are ranked in this season's prepvolleyball.com's Top 100 and will join the Utes in 2009.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Utah women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott announced the signing of four student-athletes. Joining Utah for the 2009-10 campaign are Rachel Messer (Highlands Ranch, Colo), Diana Rolniak (Aurora, Colo.), Rita Sitivi (Huntington, Calif.) and Taryn Wicijowski (Regina, Sask.)
