Real Salt Lake: Team veterans preaching 'opportunity'

"The main thing is we just want to play good soccer.... When we are playing our best soccer, we are creating a lot of chances, we are passing the ball quickly. When we are doing that we are beating up teams, we're dominating the game."
Expect the hosts to come out with the same aggressive mentality they've used in the past several games. But at the same time, RSL needs to capitalize on those early opportunities better. In its three home games at Rio Tinto Stadium, the visitors have scored first twice. On both occasions, RSL responded with goals of its own, but in a winner-take-all match, one 1-0 game is a real possibility.
"Every game presents different challenges, there are so many dynamic players. At the same time, if we do what we're best at, which is keeping the ball, and making sure that we don't give them a lot of space, we will be OK," said defender Nat Borchers.
The winner advances to the MLS Cup next Sunday at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
