Pleasant Grove High shooting guard C. J. Wilcox made it official Thursday by signing a national letter of intent to play basketball next season for the University of Washington Huskies.
The 6-foot-5 Wilcox, who is beginning his senior season at Pleasant Grove, averaged 23.7 points to lead the entire state in scoring last year. Wilcox, the son of former BYU player Craig Wilcox, is regarded as one of the two best prep players in the state. Wilcox was recruited by Utah, BYU, Utah State, San Diego University, Miami, Florida State, Iowa State, Cal-Berkley and others.
