5A SEMIFINAL: Alta 42, Syracuse 14
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ammon Olsen
The Hawks' star QB racks up 263 yards and four TDs through the air and adds 99 yards and one TD on the ground to lead the way.
PLAY OF THE GAME
On the heels of a Syracuse TD that made the score 28-7 early in the fourth quarter, Alta QB Ammon Olsen finds star receiver Ben Webster on a 63-yard catch-and-run that ends in the end zone to remove any lingering doubt about the final outcome.
KEY CALL
The Hawks stay pretty balanced offensively throughout as they usually do but on the opening drive of the second half, they keep the ball mostly on the ground, and the result is an impressive TD drive to assume permanent control.
QUOTABLE
"We're ready for them. That's what we wanted and now we got it."
Brandon Weiss, Alta DB, on playing Bingham next.
