The Latin American Chamber of Commerce is hosting an open house today to present its 2009 calendar of events.
The event is free to the public and will take place at the United 4 Economic Development building located at 1747 S. 900 West in Salt Lake City from 4 to 8 p.m., according to a news release.
Chamber members and the board of directors will be available to discuss the organization's plans for the future, the release said. In addition, the public can tour the chamber's new office.
"We provide technical assistance to Latino and Hispanic business and entrepreneurs," said chamber president Antonella Romero Packard in a statement.
The chamber's Web site stated that the organization has more than 650 members and offers workshops that assist Latino entrepreneurs in marketing their products and services, obtaining capital for expansion or start-up of their businesses, as well as setting up insurance and retirement plans.
