CLEARFIELD — The Hill Air Force Base American Indian/Alaska Native Association plans a special powwow for children Saturday at Hill Field Elementary School, 389 S. 1000 East.

The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature Native American dancers, face painting, Navajo tacos, dream catcher making, bead work and Native American artifacts.

Admission for this event is $2 per person or $5 per family, or two cans of food per person or five cans of food per family. Food donations will be shared between the Hill Air Force Base Airman's Attic and the Indian Walk-In Center in Salt Lake City.

The event is open to the public and is part of Hill's annual American Indian/Alaska Native Association recognition events held each year at this time.
