PHILADELPHIA Reserve big man Jarron Collins will dress and perhaps try to play when the Jazz face Philadelphia tonight.
But with usual starting center Mehmet Okur tending to a family medical matter in his native Turkey and would-be replacement starter Kyrylo Fesenko taking care of a visa matter in Toronto, the Jazz still plan to have 19-year-old big man Kosta Koufos make his first NBA start.
Collins has not played all season because of elbow issues stemming from an offseason golf-cart accident, but he will wear extra padding on the joint in an effort to make himself available against the Sixers.
The Jazz earlier had said they did not expect Collins to play tonight.
Meanwhile, point guard Deron Williams still plans to make his 2008-09 NBA season debut after missing six straight games with a sprained left ankle.
